The era of globalization is an era where there is a very rapid development in all aspects of life. Among educational, technological, social, cultural and others. Of course, this is good news for the generation that lived in the days of this. Increasingly sophisticated and modern life of this era, capable of changing perspectives and behavior of conventional to modern behaviour. This is the impact of globalization. In the world of education also it is realized. So much innovation and creativity made in order to further improve the quality of education. It has become an absolute necessity, as a consequence of the rapid development of globalization. Simply put, integrity amid the current wave of globalization must be maintained constantly.
Indonesia as a country that has always tried to fulfill the mandate of the people as stated in the 1945 one of them is educating the nation. Of course, how to realize the mandate is with superior education. Superior education can be obtained through education which always able to apply the concept of intelligence is comprehensive integrated into three things: intellectual, emotional and spiritual. The third component of intelligence is what is expected to become the foundation of the nation's education so that one day Indonesia will be able to give birth to generations of the nation as mandated in the 1945 Constitution.
Educational ideals are expected to meet three components are in line with the demands of globalization are increasingly swelled face the reality that growth and development of these three components has happened inequality. As a result, the effect of domination on one of component make underdevelopment to another components. The demands of globalization requires us to literate intellectual as dominance effect which make intellect becomes more inclined than the emotional and spiritual intelligence. This reality provides a fairly bitter reality for the alignment of the three components related to the integrity of our education. Why is that? It is undeniable that the fact that developing intellectual literacy among our nation is an extraordinary grace. If you want to compare Indonesia from past, certainly the comparison is "nothing" to Indonesia in the present. In this case also includes education. The generation that grew increasingly intelligent become admirable. On the other hand, the perspective that states that intellectual ototoritas deemed to have been able to be the base of the integrity of education in Indonesia is precisely where lies its shortcomings. Therefore, education is not only seen as a picture of the intellect only. However, another aspect also decisive. let say, the emotional and spiritual aspects. This education pioneers must continue to go hand in hand and are continuously integrated to create a comprehensive educational integrity of the joints.
However, the fact is the case today, the existence of emotional and intellectual intelligence already is not something that is deemed urgent and even tends to be underestimated. Let's see how the face of the current spiritual education. Almost attention to the spiritual education of our nation's has been fading. Even the institutions of formal education at a high level such as SMA and peguruan (PT), began to lose the integrity of spiritual education. The main reason that often rise to the surface when we questioned about why attention to the spiritual intelligence tends to decrease at the level above is that it has become responsibility of educational institutions at the level of the bottom namely early childhood education, kindergarten and elementary school. Since the early age of spiritual culture it should be embedded, so that when it enters the adult age levels then it should no longer be a major concern / least no longer be the domain of adult education. If this is the case, the reality that must be faced is that spiritual education only became important early age only. Actually, planting early age spiritual education is a right move to our nation moral education. However, when in adult age this education is ignored, then this action that will actually make a synergy effect on the integrity of education being overlapping components. This then would give birth to the effect that tends destructive to the integrity of our education. One of them is the dominance effect makes the integrity of the educational component being lopsided that make a gap on other aspects. A simple example, the birth of the savvy intellectual generation yet has character / moral premature. In addition, there will many emerging generation of "robot". Surely this is all the effect of spiritual education integrity that has been fading of our nation.
If we talk about our educational hierarchy, then we will find the spiritual aspect only dominant in low level but increasingly blunt at the level below the top. Whereas, on the contrary intellectual aspects. Overlapping models like this cause the erosion of the integrity our education that should be applied simultaneously. By the crisis of character and morals that afflicts our nation today, with the integrity of the educational component that is not balanced it will have a negative impact on our nation ketercepaian mandated in the 1945 constitution. Educating the life of the nation is in all aspects of nationhood itself. Aspects required by a nation to be a leading nation and advance in civilization which are aspects of intellect and morality aspects. The presence of the world of education should be able to provide a comprehensive effect for the development of the nation's intelligence.
