THE USE OF EPIDEMIOLOGY IN PUBLIC HEALTH

Generally, epidemiology helpful in explaining the various health phenomenon that occurs around. In more detail the benefits of epidemiology are as follows:

1. Epidemiology helpful in assessing the public
2. Epidemiology helpful in making decisions individually
3. Epidemiology helpful in completing the basic determination of diagnosis
4. Epidemiology helpful in finding cases

In addition, by MacMahon and Pugh, 1970, epidemiology used for:

1. Develop hypotheses in explaining the pattern of development and spread of the disease specific
2. Test the design of epidemiological
3. Test the truth of the concept of illness
4. Classifying the exposed group to determine and identify the factors that cause
